Window & Door Solutions, LLC was a great company to have install our two doors. The patio door that was installed was of better quality and more energy efficient than the one that was replaced which Bob spent a lot of time with us going over the specs and exact details of what was going to be happening step by step. Our front entryway door was a bigger job as there was wood damage that needed replacing before the door could go in. Also, because the new door was much more fancy than the plain door, Bob and his crew designed an outer design that surrounds the door that perfectly fits the look of the house. It was done right on the job without specific plans...that is how talented and skilled the carpenters are that are on Bob's team. We couldn't be happier with both the doors. Each door has its own specific details that set it apart from the other. The patio door is more of a functional door that is used quite often. It is energy efficient, it has a much more secured locking system for our peace of mind, and it is a high quality door that was expertly installed. Our entryway door was also expertly installed, also with decorative carpentry added on both the inside and outside that were not in the original plans. The craftsmanship was outstanding. The door selection took us some time to decide because there was so much to choose from however, Bob was patient and knowledgeable about the products he offers and helped us through the process. Bob and his crew of craftsman are 100% professionals with a keen eye for detail. He was on the job making sure we were completely happy with the progress and gave us step by step details and was always available if we had questions. The office staff had the same availability. Our entryway door is the most beautiful door in our neighborhood and we have had many, many compliments, it completely changes the look of our front entrance colonial so it doesn't look just like all the others. It has also inspired at least three of the homeowners in our neighborhood to change their front doors. Not only would we use Window & Door Solutions, LLC again but we would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Project was well run from the initial sale through delivery, installation, clean-up and final project close-down. All Window & Door Solutions, LLC representitives were very courteous, prompt, and provided necessary follow-up. In a project of this size and with some complexities, there are bound to be a few issues. I can honestly say that the issues were minor and when brought to the attention of the owner or project manager, they were addressed promptly to our satisfaction. Timeframe from start to finish was exaclty as promised. No cost overruns were needed. Installation crew arrived promptly and were here to oversee the delivery of the windows. Overall my experience was excellent. When I placed the call to get an estimate they were able to come late after I got home from work to see what I wanted to replace and take the appropriate measurements. I received an estimate within 24 hours. As I reviewed the estimate and had questions they returned my emails promptly and with adequate detail. About 3 weeks after placing the order they called and said my material had arrived and would like to schedule installation The crew arrived promptly when they said that they would. I believe that they did an excellent job installing the windows and doors. The finish carpentry of my interior wood trim was excellent. They matched the previous stain perfectly and all the corners were mitered great. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I was impressed that they replaced my rotted wood with the new cellular vinyl product that is maintenance free. I have seen the product in Lowes and it is not cheap. They could have used regular wood instead but they did it the right way and it should definitely be maintenance free. Overall I give the crew that did my install a AAA rating.

Window & Door Solutions replaced several windows and a sliding glass door with Pella windows. Bob provided the estimate and answered any questions that I had. I received 6 estimates and at each one I stated that I didn't want replacement windows where the sashes were removed but wanted the original window completely removed down to the studs so I was sure that I had a good air seal. He was one of only 2 companies that said "that's the right way and the only way we do it." His crew was punctual, respectful, pleasant to deal with, and did excellent work. They had a trim carpenter on site to install (and rebuild in one case) the interior casing on the windows and installed low-maintenance composite trim on the outside of the house, caulking everything and insulating with foam around the windows and door. Larry followed up two days later to check the quality of the job and to make sure that I was satisfied. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to others.

Showroom creates look and feel of home, provides array of selection for customers

Window replacement can sometimes seem like a daunting, complicated process for homeowners who need to explore their options.

The amount of selection out there is vast, and the costs are varied, giving shoppers a good amount of choice. But it’s hard to envision what the end product will look like when staring at independently suspended windows in a warehouse-style home repair store.

Bob Flaglor and his crew of skilled carpenters have solved that for customers with their new showroom for Window & Door Solutions located at 7767 Transit Road.

“I think it’s the only one of its kind I have ever seen where the building is part of the showroom,” Flaglor said. “It’s really easy for customers here to see what it’s going to look like when it’s finished.”

Flaglor and his team have spent the last 12 months gutting and renovating an old Transit Road farmhouse into a destination for homeowners to experience the look, feel, and sound of what they can produce for you.

Last month the location opened to the public.

There, customers will be able to envision what Window & Door Solutions creates inside homes throughout the region while surrounded by examples of bookshelves, fireplace mantles and professional trim carpentry — homes such as Williamsville resident Dan Mulhern’s.

Mulhern and his wife had shopped around casually knowing that there were rotting wood issues affecting the windows on the second story of their Belvoir Road home, but they hadn’t found the right fit until a meeting with Flaglor.

“We got some quotes from other people, and I’m not really sure even they knew what they wanted to do,” Mulhern said. “When Bob came in and went through everything with us and walked out the door, my wife turned to me and said, ‘That’s the guy that’s doing our windows.’

“He not only knew what he was doing, but he listened to what we wanted and incorporated that when everyone else kind of just told us what they wanted to do.”

The team from Window & Door Solutions was in and out of the Mulhern home within four days, completing a total rebuild of the framework that secures their new windows. And they couldn’t be happier.

“Our old windows were not very energy-efficient,” Mulhern said. “They were drafty and there was rotting wood everywhere. It’s like a different house right now, and surprisingly way quieter.”

Noise reduction is one of the commonly unthought-of perks to upgrading windows in a home. In fact, when visiting Flaglor’s showroom, the sound of traffic on Transit Road is hardly noticeable.

And energy efficiency is another benefit that will pay dividends down the road.

“We had a guy that did his windows a year ago, and he called me up exclaiming, ‘They just dropped my balanced billing 30 dollars a month!’” Flaglor said. “He didn’t even realize there was that big of a difference until that.”
